Our History
Formerly located in Weston, VT as a private stable, West River Equine was quietly growing among the local community. What started as few lessons and fewer boarders blossomed into New England Equestrian Center. It wasn't until 2022 that we took a leap of faith and leased several stalls at a local barn with more amenities. After a wonderful Summer of horsing around, our team and horses were ready for the next step.
New England Equestrian Center, located in West Halifax, VT was purchased in late 2024. For nearly two years, the equestrian center has undergone major and minor renovations. We are pleased to be welcoming horses and riders as we place the final touches on our future.
Our Mission
At West River Equine, we specialize in jumping seat equitation, hunters, and jumpers. Our private and group lessons are tailored to all levels of riders, from beginners to advanced. We offer summer riding camps that deliver a unique opportunity for new and advanced riders too hone into their skills in the saddle and academically. Our clinics are designed to help riders improve their technique in and out of the tack and enrich the equestrian world. The goal of West River Equine is to help riders achieve their full potential, and we are committed to providing the best possible instruction and support in order for them to get there.
